If you read my original post about the ModCloth IRL shopping event, and if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you would know that I co-hosted a private shopping party at the ModCloth IRL popup last weekend with my good friend Sarah!
The ModCloth pop-up is run in a very cool, unique way. The store holds samples in every size. Your stylist brings you the samples in your size to try on, and rather than walk out of the store with a new piece of clothing, ModCloth sends you a brand spankin’ new one straight to your house! I really like the concept, because who knows how many people try on those samples – plus it keeps the store nice, clean, and streamlined!
Most of our guests came with a specific need to be styled for – a wedding, a work outfit, or a summery catchall. The stylists suggested some things that were similar that you might not have noticed while perusing, or perhaps they didn’t have it in the IRL store but in their vast online repertoire! It is always nice to have a professional’s opinion as to what would look the best on your body.
ModCloth is such a feminine and flattering brand that truly celebrates a woman’s curves. I personally did not own anything from ModCloth before this event, but I definitely walked away with a lot of items on my wish list! Trying on the clothing made such a difference. The fabrics are rich and the garments are well made.
Every single girl that came out of her dressing room had a big smile on her face, because ModCloth clothes just have that effect – they make you feel pretty and happy. I mean, how can a parrot/beach skirt and a teal flowery bardot number not make you smile!?

We were also very lucky to collaborate with Illusions Salon of Georgetown, who made us all look and feel extra beautiful. Thank you to ModCloth for having us at your pop-up and for allowing us to share this special experience with our friends and followers!
I really connected with my stylist, Elika, (check our her Insta!) and she picked out this dress for me. It is SO gorgeous in person and I can’t wait for it to arrive!

Cooool, I love business innovations. I wonder if naysayers told the ModCloth people that they were crazy to send mail people brand new clothes all the time. Surely?
