TIE WAIST PANTS, similar | TANK | SNEAKERS
I’m not sure if you saw our car seat debacle on my Instagram stories. Long story short, we purchased the Maxi Cosi Pria convertible car seat from the Nordstrom Sale and it was a nightmare to install! After an hour of tugging, cursing, watching YouTube installation videos, and feeling downright baffled, the seat just wouldn’t install correctly. Perhaps we got a dud. But when I did a little bit of Google research to see if anyone else had the same issue, I was bombarded with comments that highlighted our exact same problem. So it is going back to the store. My hands are actually bruised, and I have a blister on my finger. What the heck!
In the mean time, we got a different seat from BuyBuyBaby (the Britax One4Life) and installed it in 11 minutes flat. We timed it 🙂 I’m so happy!
Light In Linen Pants
This post is turning into a car seat post, which is not what I intended. So let’s change the subject. On a beautiful breezy Chicago day, we headed to the park so Sidney could do what she likes to do there now – escape the picnic blanket and crawl around in the dirt. I wore my trusty Target ribbed tank (I have it in black and white and need the olive, too) with these really fun and light pink linen pants.
The pants are everything I want in a casual summer pant. They’re just slouchy enough to be comfortable, but structured enough to avoid making you feel like a Corona homebody slob. And they feel kinda beachy, too.
Hope you guys have a great week ahead!

Some car seats are a pain in the butt and I am sorry you had to go through it. So glad that you were able to find something else that truly worked and super easy to handle. I adore these linen pants. The color is beautiful and different than the neutral ones I am used to seeing. Anything easy and breezy right is a plus in my book!

so here’s my totally crazy, motherly mixed feelings…I am so glad those car-seat, high-chair big clunky cluttery pieces of baby gear are over with!… i only did it twice–it was enough…… but on the flip side, my first born is going to college next month, i’ve been having lots of crazy thoughts like did I do enough? was i a good mother? did i make enough green smoothies? and play enough board games?….it all went by in a blink of a twisted eye….. ENJOY your precious sweet baby…. that first year seems to drag on (the drudgery part), but fast forward to bye, bye at college–i’m going to be a freakin’ mess..
xo to you! eva

The pink pants are so cute! 🙂 How frustrating with the car seat though! 🙁 When we were car shopping we got one with iso fix because we knew it was the easier way to install car seats but it does limit what seats you can buy if you want to install them that way 🙁 Luckily my father in law used to be a registered car seat safety installer so he’s always able to help!
Thank you for the link up! Hope that you had a lovely weekend 🙂 We managed to attend two birthday parties, even though the new restrictions made things a little different!

Oh, I do not miss those days of car seat installation and babies crawling in the dirt! Ha. But I am sure Sidney is so stinking adorable when she does it. I am loving these cute pink linen pants and that tank top looks like the perfect summer wardrobe staple.
