It has begun. The frigid twist into the colder Chicago temps. Perhaps I’ve been in denial, but this morning our weather really took a freezing turn.
You may be asking yourself: why is Rox wearing sunglasses? Well, my friends, it is for style, yes, but also to protect my eyeballs from turning into popsicles. And these classic, versatile Anderson frames from Electric California are my new sunglass sidekick.
Electric sunglasses are designed in California, and made in Italy. Both are sunny places with cool beachy vibes. Not so many beachy vibes in Chicago, but we do have wind, and a lake! Despite our difference in climate, I still find that I’ve been reaching for my Andersons to stave off the wind and to feel like a cool surfer chick who perhaps drives a vintage car and lets her hair air dry every day. Maybe I’ll be the first fall foliage obsessed, scarf-clad midwesterner to make it onto Electric’s Instagram page! (but seriously, check out all the sandy hair and surfer dude vibes on Electric’s insta – it’s definitely a hot vibe.)
So even when it is 35 degrees in Chicago, which looks like our new normal for the next several months, I’ll be wearing my Anderson sunglasses. They’re timeless, sturdy, sophisticated, lightweight, and come in a few cool color options!
Do you wear sunglasses when it isn’t bright, but just super cold?
Thank you to Electric California for sponsoring this post. And thank you for supporting the brands that support Glass of Glam.
