Mudslide: The Cutest Co-Ord Shorts Set

I’m still not done talking about Mexico. The view from our room was insane. I often opted to sit on our balcony in the 108 degree weather rather than sitting in the comfortable air conditioned room. Naturally, due to my love of the spot, we needed to try and cram a photo shoot onto our little balcony while the sun was setting.

We shoved the big old wicker chairs and table out of the way, and Dan nearly fell over the balcony trying to get the shot as I squeezed in the farthest corner. Who ever said blogging was glamorous?

These photos truly exemplify the meaning of “the golden hour.” I love how the progression of these photos show how the sun was setting behind us, with the earlier photos being brighter and the last shots being cooler. You can even see the balcony reflection on my legs as the sun shone through.

It was so humid outside that when we came out from the a/c the lens on our DSLR completely fogged up! It looked like we were shooting in a cloud. We had to switch to the iPhone for some of the photos. Darnit. Sometimes you have to improvise!

I picked out this coordinating crop top and shorts set from SheIn before our trip. This is my first coordinating set (since I was maybe like 5) so I wanted it to be easy (and affordable, it is only $17) in case I didn’t like it. BUT I LOVE IT! It also comes in white with a blue pattern. I already have a bunch of other co-ord sets on my wish list, because I think the look is SO effortless and cool! It doesn’t hurt that I can wear the top and shorts separately either.

Sidenote: I wore this set to dinner on our second night and the groom told me I was “balling.” In his speak that was a compliment, haha.

I can sometimes be a little self conscious of my mid-section, but this crop top isn’t tight or super short. It still slightly touches the shorts because they are pretty high waist-ed.
