That MONDAY feeling. I am sick as a dog with some kind of virus. The strep test came back negative so I’m over here living on Mucinex and nasal spray and waiting for it to pass. I watched about 8 episodes of Orange Is The New Black and the classic An American In Paris yesterday. But I’m basically worthless.
Today’s outfit and excursion contains some of my favorite pieces and things of all time! 1. Cuddy Studio’s fun print romper; 2. Winkwood’s gorgeous wood sunglasses; 3. Mel Boteri’s genius convertible bag; and 4. the best gluten-free treats in DC.
CUDDY STUDIOS ROMPER c/o | WINKWOOD WHITE RUSSIAN SUNNIES c/o | BIRKENSTOCK SANDALS (my faves!) | MEL BOTERI BAG
First, let’s talk about the outfit. This romper from Cuddy studios is so fun, bright, and comfortable. All the pieces on their website scream summer vacay. I like that the arms are flowy and forgiving.
Mel Boteri’s done it again, you guys. Remember the gorgeous blue bag I wore in this post? Well this is the same designer. My pink bag easily converts from a tote to a backpack, and has lots of pockets to organize all your stuff. I simply love it!
Finally, the sunnies. They are by a company called Winkwood, an Australian brand that creates whimsical sunglasses out of wood. They float on water, too! Although, I’ve never tried that. I picked a pair called the White Russian. From these photos you can tell they obviously make me very happy.
On this particular gorgeous summer day, I took my Cuddy/Winkwood/Boteri clad self to Adam’s Morgan to visit a gluten-free bakery that I had heard great things about called Rise Bakery. A woman I used to work with obsessed over their cinnamon rolls. Now, I admit that gluten free options aren’t usually anything close to the real deal. So I had to see for myself.
I was happy to see that Rise Bakery has plenty of options, ranging from gluten-free, vegan, soy free, and nut free. They are pretty smart to cover all the bases, because so many people have food intolerance these days.
The bakery is really cute and the staff greet you warmly! I got an everything bagel and one of the famous cinnamon rolls.
I was absolutely blown away. Delicious and well done gluten-free treats impress the heck out of me. I know how hard it is to do, because sometimes I try to make my own GF treats and they come out…well…interesting. Dan got a chocolate croissant and really loved it too. That’s my test, because he usually loathes anything gluten free.
In addition to bagels and cinnamon rolls, they also have cupcakes, eclairs, muffins, scones, brownies, and other items I’m probably leaving out. A little freezer stands next to the counter so you can grab a week’s worth of gluten-free bagels if that’s your fancy.
Overall, great success. I’ll definitely be back time and time again.

My favorite look from last week’s link up is Abby from Life in the Fash Lane!
I’m pretty sure Abby and I have been following each other since I started blogging. Our styles are very similar, as she has a flair for easy dresses and fun accessories. Besides her amazing style, she is such a nice girl! She just booked a tropical trip with her husband and said that this dress would be perfect for it! I wonder where she is going!? Don’t forget to check out Sarah’s blog (your lovely co-host) to see her pick of the week!
As always, don’t forget to subscribe so you never forget to link-up!
