I just got home from an amazing and non-stop weekend in Las Vegas. And ironically I’m posting the exact opposite of what I’d wear in Vegas.
V NECK SHEATH DRESS OUTFIT DETAILS:
As we speak I’m watching Travis Pastrana attempt to beat Evel Knievel’s motorcycle jump records in Las Vegas. He jumped over a bunch of cars, a bunch of busses, and finally, the fountain at Caesars Palace. Crazy! It is so funny because we were JUST there walking on the same streets they are showing on the History Channel! If only we stayed for one more day we could have seen it live!
But anyway, Las Vegas was so much fun. Dan and I flew up on Thursday to meet up with another couple. We did all my favorite things: spa, shopping, delicious dining, pool time, listened to good music, and a bit of partying. I’m going to do a whole post on our trip soon. But if you can’t contain yourself then check out the pics and story I posted on Instagram!
My Yellow V Neck Sheath Dress
Why wouldn’t I bring this dress to Vegas? In my opinion, it is more of a work dress. I think someone commented on Instagram, that it looks like an “old lady dress” haha! I highly disagree with that comment, though! I love this v neck sheath dress and get so many compliments when I wear it.
This outfit is made up of pieces that I picked for the Ann Taylor summer event I hosted a couple of weeks ago. I wanted some playful prints like this pineapple dress, but I also wanted to make sure I got a classic sheath. The ladies at the store pulled out this one and at first I wasn’t sure about the color. But once I put it on it was a “BAM oh yes” moment.
My ultra-feminine jean jacket breaks up the bright yellow color a bit and makes the dress feel more casual. If you are looking for a good jean jacket that will withstand the test of time, you absolutely need to check out this one. It is stretchy, soft, and the peplum cut is super flattering. I know it is kind of a splurge, but it is currently 20% off! Trust me, because the photo online doesn’t do it justice.
On Mondays We Link Up
My favorite look from last week’s link up is Sierra from Beautifully Candid!
Sierra shared her trip to Rome with her beautiful family! I was so inspired that she took her 2 young boys to Europe. I feel like a lot of us are afraid of the prospect of traveling with kids, but she makes it look easy!
