Do You Love Wine As Much As I Do? If you do, then you’re going to love what I have to share about WINC Wine Club!
In college there was a class called “wine tasting”. More specifically, it was Botany 244: Viticulture and Enology. Not surprisingly, it was one of the most popular seminars at school, with only two class times: Tuesday night or Thursday night. When it came time to register for our senior year classes, the wine tasting classes filled up in an instant! I mean, who doesn’t want to get class credit for tasting wine?!
Before you get skeptical – yes we really did taste wine in class, but only at the end of the seminar. For the first hour the professor taught us about grapes, the principles or grape growing, and the techniques of wine making. My favorite part was learning about the grape varieties throughout the world and discovering what I liked and how to order it in a restaurant! Then putting what we learned into practice by trying 3-4 wines. Oh and then stumbling home with my friends.
But years have gone by since that class, and I’ve become a creature of habit. I like my sauvignon blanc in the summer, and some pinot noir in the winter (my favorites are Cloudy Bay, Oyster Bay, and A to Z). We got the chance to taste so many cool wines and blends in college, and I found myself missing that. Then in comes WINC wine club!
WINC Wine Club
I like being a part of a wine subscription because I get to try wines that I know will be at least decent, since they’ve been vetted by the wine club team! Plus I can decide whether I want reds, whites, a mix, or skip a month (or 9…haha). Since becoming a member, I’ve tried some really interesting varieties! Right now I have a red blend, two different cabernet sauvignon bottles, and chardonnay. I busted open the chardonnay with my mom this week (even though I don’t typically like chardonnay) and it was really good!
If you’re interested in joining WINC, you can get a $22 discount + complimentary shipping via this link! That comes out to 4 bottles of wine for $39! You can skip a month any time.
What’s your favorite wine that you keep buying over and over again? Would you try WINC Wine Club? Share in a comment below!

We used to belong to Winc back before they changed their name to Winc. We just loved it and always enjoy the different wines.
I still love a rose in spring. Tonight I had a red blend at happy hour. I like changing the wine with my moods.

I’ve always wanted to try Winc but they don’t ship to Canada!! *so sad* Also, we had the same sort of wine tasting class at my university and I never got to take it because it filled up so fast haha. Clearly a popular class among college kids everywhere haha!

I do adore wine as much as you and we too belong to a wine club. Love getting bottles in the mail

That does sound like an interesting class! My dad used to make wine in my childhood as we grew grapes back then.
I personally am not much of a wine drinker, but during the colder months I occasionally enjoy a glass of “Gluehwein”. Not sure if you are familiar with it, but it’s a spiced wine you heat up and drink hot. It’s usually sold at Christmas markets b the cup in Germany. Now living in the States I was so happy to have found it sold at Aldi during fall/winter. It’s imported from Germany and tastes delicious heated.

Wine subscriptions are really fun. It’s such a great way to try different things. We love wine here in our house and that class sounds spectacular. Tasting the wines would be great (of course), but it would be really interesting to learn all about them too.

It was actually so useful! My 22 year old self took it just for fun, but I like knowing what I’m drinking!

I don’t drink but for someone who does the subscription sounds like a great idea!
Thanks for the link up!

It’s a great gift for a wine lover, too!

Oh wow, Roxanne, that is a really cool idea for an elective class. I bet you learned a lot about wines, too. I, on the other hand, do not know much about wine. But I also am not much of a wine drinker. Your dress is amazing, by the way!
