Sue The T-Rex
When the museums were still open, we headed to Chicago’s famous Field Museum to take a look around! The Chicago Public Library gives out a limited number of free family passes each week, and sometimes you can get lucky enough to snag one! The pass is good for two adults and two children. We usually can’t stay for long (Sidney’s patience is short) so getting a free pass helps us avoid the guilt of only going for an hour.
Our favorite exhibit is Sue the giant T-Rex. She is truly magnificent! The dinosaur’s remains were found in South Dakota in 1990. The skeleton is the largest and best preserved Tyrannosaurus specimen to date! Her name is Sue because she was discovered by an explorer named Sue Hendrickson. We’re pretty proud to have the T-Rex in Chicago! When this is all over and you get a chance to visit Chicago, the Field Museum should definitely be on your list.
Burgundy Blazer…Wine Not?
I got this blazer right after we moved to Chicago. While so much has changed, my love for this burgundy blazer has not. I had crazy hair extensions because I had a bad Brazilian blowout that made my hair break off! That was so sad. I can’t believe my hair is almost longer than those extensions, now.
The day we went to the museum it wasn’t cold enough for a full on coat. So I popped a blazer on over my turtleneck. It was nice not having to schlep a coat around the museum, too.
My exact blazer is a brand Nordstrom used to carry called Mural. I’m so sad that they don’t carry it anymore. I found this blazer on Amazon that’s pretty similar down to the gold buttons! Although it doesn’t come in burgundy. You can’t win them all, folks. It comes in a bunch of colors – I would definitely get the pink/beige one!

That’s a lovely burgundy blazer and it’s good you can enjoy the museum! It’s always free here, there are a few special exhibits but before the kids used to go frequently! 🙂
Thanks for the link up 🙂
Hope that your week is off to a good start 🙂

Whether you call it wine or burgundy, this color is so universally flattering that it should be on every gal’s wish list. Your blazer is fabulous and just the right completer for transitional weather.

It’s a gorgeous coat. However, about Sue. I so preferred her in the lobby of the museum. I wish they had not moved her to the smaller room.
