Ever since the weather became more pleasant I have felt more motivated to reinvigorate my workout routine because a) it is much more bearable to walk to the yoga studio when it isn’t -2 degrees b)warmer weather equals the showing of more skin (hello Michelle Obama arms!) and c)the “spring clean” mentality makes my brain think “renew, refresh, detoxify” in all life aspects.
This week’s “refreshment” is Old Navy. And I must say, their new spring items are quite refreshing! I love Old Navy, because you can find all the trends at REALLY affordable prices. The most expensive piece in my roundup is only $60 (and it is a jacket, so that is justifiable.)
I wore an Old Navy Dress in yesterday’s post, distressed Old Navy denim in this post, and the softest pink swing top in this post. I’d say my track record says it all. Today, they are having a 25% off SALE with code SAVEMORE! You’re welcome.
Old Navy Spring Picks for Under $60
Gingham Outfit. This outfit is so cute, and I'm loving the gingham print. I feel like we all have a lot of blue in our closets. If you're planning on a weekend getaway, just throw all the blue shades in your bag and you're sure to match!
Reversible Tote. While this tote comes in various colors, this one is especially cool because it has a fun print on one side, and a neutral shade on the other. Perfect!
Linen Midi Dress. The fitted bodice on this dress is a nice balance to the amount of fabric in the midi skirt. I'd say this dress is country-cute.
D'Orsay Flats. Some are calling this shoe trend the "grandma shoe". I disagree! I think these are totally stylish! Since these are $25 you can try the trend without making too much of a commitment. They come in black, too.
Jersey Drawstring Jumpsuit. Jersey is just so comfortable. I would probably be caught wearing this as pajamas. In all seriousness, you can wear this casually, or dressed up with heels and a statement necklace. As with a lot of Old Navy pieces, this one also comes in black.
Bell Sleeved Blouse. You know I love peasant blouses (last seen in this post.) You can easily get the "I just threw this on but don't I look chic" look with a peasant blouse because it is an interesting piece on its own.
Tie-Waist Shirt Dress. Old Navy offers tall, regular, and petite in some things, including this one. It is nice to be able to get a piece with the correct length and proportions. Even if you don't get the sizing exactly right, the tie waist ensures that it will be flattering.
Tie-Waist Shorts. Another sure-to-flatter option. These are great for us girls who have bigger booties and thighs, but we still want to be comfortable in shorts. The red is so fun!
Harper Trousers. I know I have talked about these in the past, but I think I might actually like them more than the Pixie Pants! They come in a lot of colors and are professional enough for work.
Peplum Cami. The striped pattern on this top is so interesting! No one wants to wear something skin tight when the weather starts to get warm. Throw your favorite solid-colored cardigan over this for a nice layered look.
Chambray Shirt. I included some menswear in this roundup. If you're looking to buy your man-friend, husband, brother, father, whomever a gift, a chambray shirt is a good place to start! Dan has a chambray pullover and he LOVES it. Old Navy has multiple colors of chambray, too.
Utility Jacket. I have been seeing these jackets everywhere. Besides the bomber jacket, this is the spring jacket the men in your life need, especially if they are the trendy type. The colors to look for are navy and army green.

I dyed my hair! So far I’m loving it, but it is so different! When I look in the mirror I sometimes have to do a double take because I don’t even recognize myself.
A Ramos Gin Fizz is made by shaking the ingredients vigorously with an egg white, creating a light and frothy beverage. You have to shake it for quite awhile until you get the perfect amount of airy egg whites. But it is worth it. Kind of like my decision to get this blouse.
Make it a hurricane…before I go insane! I know that’s what you were hoping I would say.
You probably noticed by now that I started naming my post titles for beverages (Espresso, Strawberry Milkshake, Bellini …) This is Glass of Glam, after all! As a beverage lover, I know there is a drink for every mood, outing, and activity. There are refreshments for time of day, time of year, and how you feel.
This post is inspired by the Hurricane, a fruity and refreshing simple cocktail. Despite what concoction you may get when you order one, there are really only 3 ingredients: rum, passion fruit simple syrup, and lemon juice. And some pretty garnish, of course.
Since spring has decided to enter our lives (thank you thank you thank you weather gods) I rounded up my favorite spring pieces from around the web – all inspired by this fruity beverage. Fun, simple, and easy breezy.
This past weekend we had friends visiting. So in the whirlwind of DC touring, we decided to tour the capitol. Being on Capitol Hill makes me feel patriotic.
If you’ve been to DC lately you know that our beautiful dome is being renovated – because of severe cracks in the cast iron structure. Interestingly, it has not been renovated since Lincoln was president! Time for some TLC, indeed.
This look makes me feel comfortable and carefree. My embroidered bell-sleeved top sold out before I could even post these pictures for you. However, I found some great alternatives, like this gauzy one for $15, this pink one, this black and white tunic-style top, and this sleeveless tie-front blouse.
I am currently obsessed with my new faux snakeskin bag. It looks just like the coveted Chloe “Drew” bag, but for approximately 1/70th of the price. My version comes in coffee snakeskin, black snakeskin, white, and red. I am seriously considering ordering it in a second color, I love it that much.
