So there is a bit of a recurring story behind this cute little outfit. If you’re a style blogger then you probably find yourself in similar situations.

So the story goes like this. I take all this time to put together a bangin’ outfit. I do the hair, the make up, the whole deal…but there is no one to document it! A mirror selfie won’t do it justice, and I’m currently too shy to ask a stranger on the street to take a photo for me. I should probably get over that.
So I invited myself to lunch with my husband, then sweetly asked if he would pretty pleeeasssse help me take some outfit photos for me. Since he is the shizz, he said yes and, as usual, knocked it out of the park!
Since moving to Chicago, I have been lamenting leaving my photographer behind in DC. But as you’ve seen here, here and here, #husbandofglam has been doing such a great job. (And my mom took these!) I’m so lucky that Dan and I are a good team and that he takes such great photos for me! I just worked with a new photographer and I love her stuff so far! I can’t wait to show you guys.
As far as the outfit, it’s no surprise that I love a good star print. The asymmetric hem on my blouse is the perfect little detail that gives the top a bit more interest. And it is so affordable (also here). I also just picked up these pink combat booties – aren’t they too cute!? I linked some more star print goodies in the widget below.

My favorite look from last week’s link-up was Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood!
Ada kicked it up a notch with her fuscia/pink skirt and silver booties. I’m always looking for ways to switch up my flannel and plaid tops, so thank goodness for Ada’s inspiration! And her booties are to die for.
