The weekend was draining. I wanted to go to both the inauguration parade AND the Women’s March, and so I did. I was already sick, and it made me sicker, but it was totally worth it.
But let’s talk about something light and happy for now, like this dress!
Ever since I moved to DC I’ve been looking for some “DC Swag”. Once you earn your spot in a city, you deserve to rep the city like a local, right?
I discovered Bailiwick Clothing Company through my friend, Dani, and I must say it’s the PERFECT DC swag for me.
People sometimes tell me “you’re so photogenic so it’s easy for you” but in reality, that’s far from the truth. In my short year of blogging, I’ve learned some tricks for looking my best in photographs. I’m by no means an expert, but I’ve been taking mental notes and going with what works.
This post is in the hopes that we can get away from the “skinny arm” pose…yes we know what you’re trying to do and…no that’s not the only way to look decent in a photo. But we’ve all done it.
Without further ado…here are my 10 secrets to looking your best in photos.
I finally went for it and got the face treatment I’ve been really wanting to do. It is called microneedling. The purpose of it is to try and smooth out the acne scars on my cheeks.
Since my face is still kind of red and bruised from the treatment yesterday, I’m posted up at home and working on website things.
Happy Monday! I had a great weekend running around with husband of glam this weekend and cuddling with cats. And we finally had some SNOW!
My first year of blogging has been such a whirlwind, in the best way. I learned SO much that I could probably fill this post with hours of jabbering.
My last post was generally about my feelings towards one year of blogging. But in this post, I’m sharing my journey this year, and how my blog came to the point it is now. I will say it is super flattering when someone is shocked that I’ve only been doing this for a year. I’m like WHAT REALLY CAN I PLEASE HUG YOU!? But the truth is I just fooled you with my #fakeittilyoumakeit mantra that’s been going on since Glass of Glam all started.
My “blogiversary” was on December 24th and a lot of emotions came with that. I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone and how many incredible connections I’ve made with the COOLEST PEOPLE EVER.
