This weekend was exactly what I needed. Relaxing and productive! Dan and I slept in, cooked, went for long walks, worked out, binge watched some shows (Band of Brothers is SO good if you haven’t seen it already) and ordered takeout. And I broke down all those darn boxes (blogger life, haha). All in all a very successful at-home weekend.
Today’s look is a retro inspired outfit from ModCloth. I LOVE vintage inspired pieces that make me feel feminine and confident.
I got some cute new frames! You won’t even believe how inexpensive they were!
I have been wearing glasses since about 3rd grade. I remember that I was doing the wrong math problems for homework because I wrote them down incorrectly in my planner. After getting a poor grade in math that year (I’m still mad about that) my mom though that I should probably get my eyes checked. Ever since then I’ve had glasses and contacts. Can’t see a darn thing without them!
Stripes AND florals. What could be better than the marriage of the two prints!? Yup I found the perfect dress.
As for a life update, I’m headed back to DC from Boston today! I have been trying to be better about posting my real life happenings on my Instagram (I’m @glassofglam over there), so there are a lot of Boston and Newport, Rhode Island highlights over there!
Finally Friday! I had a pretty busy week. I only got back from Cleveland on Sunday, and now I’m in Boston visiting my best friend from elementary school! Summer is for traveling, right? Visiting family (and friends that are like family) is always relaxing, though. Especially when you have no schedule and nowhere to be in particular
Welcome back and welcome Monday! I spent the weekend in Cleveland with my family and friends. It was so nice to be home and try new things that weren’t in Cleveland when I left.
But, alas, these photos weren’t taken in Cleveland. I wish I was quick like that! These were from a day when Dan and I went down to the Georgetown waterfront to drink some coffee and enjoy a stroll. I always find myself overdressed for these occasions.
Well HELLO lovely people! I haven’t posted since…last Thursday. Yikes. Then with the holiday last weekend, Sarah and I decided to take a week off from the linkup. But I’ve been busy! Since recovering from my respiratory virus (yuck) I went to NYC, enjoyed a wonderful 4th of July, and worked my butt off at my job. Between all that, sadly, there was hardly any time for blogging.
BUT I’m back with this amazing yet simple striped top and distressed jeans. And alas, I’m lamenting that I don’t have abs like these anymore.
That MONDAY feeling. I am sick as a dog with some kind of virus. The strep test came back negative so I’m over here living on Mucinex and nasal spray and waiting for it to pass. I watched about 8 episodes of Orange Is The New Black and the classic An American In Paris yesterday. But I’m basically worthless.
Today’s outfit and excursion contains some of my favorite pieces and things of all time! 1. Cuddy Studio’s fun print romper; 2. Winkwood’s gorgeous wood sunglasses; 3. Mel Boteri’s genius convertible bag; and 4. the best gluten-free treats in DC.
