I hope you all had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend. Mine was pretty hectic because I have FOMO and want to do all the fun things DC has to offer instead of relaxing at home. The weather this weekend was scorching.
Life was kind of a whirlwind in the personal life as well. More on that another day.
There are SO many amazing sales going on this weekend!
If you’re like me you are at the pool scrolling through your phone and adding like 13985023895 items to your cart to narrow down. Here are some of the best deals and the codes for your shopping pleasure!
First things first – HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister Moriah! I love you! And now you are a geez like me.
Now, the post. The Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale is SO good. You can get those items you’ve been eyeing (that Michael Kors bag, Tory Burch shoes, the list goes on) for up to 40% off. As usual, there are so many great things! I did a little browsing last night and found some gems.
Click on the item in the collage to shop (I’m trying out a new widget! #nerding). Now you don’t have to go down and find the corresponding number! I still added the numbers because I think it looks pretty and I like numbers 🙂
A lot of these things are highly coveted, like #2, #4, #7, #15, and #16, and now they are on SUPER sale! Yay!
Have a LOVELY Memorial Day weekend! Are you doing anything fun?

I am SO proud of my sister for graduating from COLLEGE! She is so smart and honestly one of the most amazing people I know. We took the train to New Haven over the weekend (a 5ish hour ride from DC) and got to partake in all the commencement activities. The activities included lots of hugging and cheering for my sister at the official events, delicious meals with the family, doing the Mory’s cup challenge, and playing banana-grams.
I saw Lilliana Vazquez from the LV Guide on TV, and she was talking about her specialty “luxe for less.” Her blog used to be called The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style, and she was one of the FIRST fashion bloggers I ever followed. Now she has blossomed into a fashion correspondent and has rebranded to The LV Guide. I freakin’ love her.
Anyway, the theme of her segment was the off the shoulder trend, and she picked three items for under $50, one of which was from Pixie Market. She ALSO pointed out that the amazing navy dress she was wearing was from Pixie Market.
She admitted that her dress was not under $50, but that the brand has a lot of affordable styles. So I got my booty over to the Pixie Market website to see for myself.
And after looking through pretty much every item on the Pixie Market website, I can vouch that EVERYTHING looks like it costs way more than it does. The pieces are like art. Take a look for yourself:
When I shop, I pick things out, then brood. Sometimes the thinking and weighing can last for MONTHS. I will put a bunch of things in my online cart, and if I am still thinking about that item at a later date then I will get it. It also has to meet all my criteria with regard to price, need, etc. That’s what happened with this top.
There is something about finding a good designer dupe that gives me so much pleasure. It’s almost like I am beating the system.
Just the fact that I was “fashion savvy” enough to even notice that a dupe was a dupe makes me feel good. Sometimes a dupe is just so amazing that I keep it a secret. But I feel like now is the time to share the wealth.
THE REAL THING:
I honestly LOVE designer clothing, bags, and shoes. I’m that person who drools when they look in the pretty window displays while walking past all the gorgeousness. But most of us can’t afford the designer things, unless you save and save and sacrifice and agonize. Then maybe, just maybe you might be able to buy yourself that coveted item.
Some of these dupes look so good that I can’t even tell the difference. Please note that while some of the imitations aren’t ridiculous bargains, they are a real bargain in comparison to the real thing (I’m looking at you, Gucci Dionysus! My friend Jia from Lelondonchic found this one. She is a dupe master.)
I can personally vouch that the Vince sandal dupe (#7, also a good one here) the Kitty Flats (#2) and the Dior “so real” sunglasses replica (#6) are all amazing. I also have a Chloe Drew bag dupe (#3) in the coffee snakeskin color, and I love it. I know that other bloggers have the Chloe sandal dupe (#9) and they are thrilled.
I’m FULL of good dupes, so if you like this post then let me know! Because there is way more where this came from.
